i think i'm eli's biggest fan, and i'll support him on any of his imposed fashion choices. :)

The pictures are very cute but I would have NO idea that is is a boy!

  • At 7:18 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

The snowsuit matches Ralph's pink scrapbook tote in the other picture!!!

  • At 7:21 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

I think Eli looks cute....but he also DOES, in fact, look like a little girl. At least she didn't take him into public...

Poor fellar looks pitiful in the first pic. If he ends up a happy child he will know what his root is. Had to have seen "But I'm a Cheerleader" to get that.

Please don't EVER do that to that boy again! Certain behaviors & actions during the first few years can cause your son to be dancing around like a fairy. If you need a snow suit for him, we as listeners will find you one that's not pink & frilly! Please don't do this again.

  • At 7:33 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

He is so adorable, and thats all that matters!!!

  • At 7:33 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

I have a 5 month old by and if that was all I had to take my son out in and I didn't want him to wear long johns then I would've waited until the next snow so his first snow wasn't ruined. The boy is going to have alot of explaining to do to future g/f's.

  • At 7:34 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Marc, I am suprised you didn't think of this..there are lots of little boy snowsuits on ebay!!!

  • At 7:41 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

The worst crime about this photo is that you TOOK A PICTURE!! This kid has to live with this for the rest of his life! What kind of father allows his son to wear little girls' clothing.

  • At 7:45 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Kim, the pink is cute that ladie that said that boys don't wear pink clothes there are 3 boys in my class that wear pink shirts and shoe laces at least once a week and they say they pick their own clothes it might be more and im in 4th grade

  • At 7:48 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

    Kim;
I TOTALLY agree with you! It is more important for your child to be warm and have fun in the snow than to obsess on what color he is wearing. He is a precious little boy. AND for those urban rednecks out there who think this will "make him gay" it is ridiculous. You either ARE gay or your NOT. You are a great parent. Keep it up!

    Kim,
What great pictures to show his first girlfriend.

  • At 7:51 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Kim--- I think it's great! He got to have a good time, and you now hold a very high card for future girlfriends. Be sure to save a whole scrapbook page for these... oh, and make copies. You never know, he might try to destroy the evidence.

  • At 7:52 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

I think the lady that said real men don't wear pink wanted to be appreciated by the men this am. Kim, he's your son dress him how you please. I just wish there had been a way that I could've sent you the BLUE one I have. Its his size and everything.

  • At 7:56 AM, Blogger Micky said…

He is cute. It's not a big deal. It was only in the yard. It may have been a little different if they went out in public. At least he had fun.
All kids need at least one embarassing picture their parents can show to other people.
    :)

  • At 7:57 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Oh good grief. He's a baby. She couldn't find his size in a boy's suit. Yes, it was good for a laugh or two when it first happened, but move on, let it go.
What is the big deal? Like the kid even knows the difference!!! Leave Kim alone. Only the adults make it an issue... and could make Eli feel "bad".

  • At 7:58 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

    Kim,
I think you are a wonderful mother. I am sure the guys would not be making such a stink over this if it were someone dressing their daughter in camo. I have a snow suit that my son has outgrown. It is a 24 mos. I will drop it off at the station so you can avoid this inthe future. Keep up the great work!

omigosh. You really don't get how girly this thing is until you see it. *BUT* that being said, my girls LOVE Spiderman (my 4 year old) and Superman (my 2 year old) and wear boy's pjs to bed since they don't make super hero girl's pjs. I guess that isn't SOOO different from a boy wearing a girl's snowsuit...I guess. (He is cute!)

  • At 8:02 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

    Kim,
I think he is so cute. His girlfriends will enjoy this in the future. It is always good to have at least one good embarrassing photo. Keep up the good work of being a good parent.

I think Sheli looks really cute.

Tye die comes to mind (if you had time)before he went out in the snow. He's a B A B Y and he didn't care. He was having a terrific time and that's all that matters! Of course you can now pull out the baby pictures when his first girl friend comes to visit. She'll love it. Some day he'll look back and talk about "when I was a little girl." and joke about it. My dad used to do that. I have a picture of him when he was about 2 and he had on a dress and he used to tell me, 'when I was a little girl.' I loved it!!!! Back in those days boys wore dresses and high top shoes (sometimes). Don't ask me why, cause I don't know. He would be in his mid to late 80s now.

As the mother of a 2 year old boy, I wouldn't put him in a girly, pink snowsuit. I'd put lots of layers on him instead. He'd change clothes when he came back inside, and he wouldn't be staying outside too long. However, no two parents will make the exact same choices. The fact that Kim will be scrapbooking this will ensure that Eli will be haunted by it one day, but, hey, we all have our embarassing moments in life. One question, Kim: will you decorate the scrapbook page(s) with pink accents? I would recommend using a snow theme instead :)

    Kim
    What were you thinking

  • At 9:02 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

come on kim, you are going to give the a complex. please take the pink off.

  • At 9:03 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

    Tough guys wear pink, right?

  • At 9:15 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

I think that Eli looks adorable. I think that people need to give the issue a rest. For one, you are in you OWN backyard. Who really pays attention? Second, it is his first time in the snow and he doesn't care about the color of the snowsuit he is wearing. All he cares about is playing in the snow and having a good time. Kim, I would have done the same exact thing if I was in your situation. He looks cute no matter what color of snowsuit he has on. And yes, he might be embarassed when he gets older and sees the picture, but I don't think that Kim is going to put it on the front page of the Newspaper! Don't worry Kim, your a GREAT mother no matter what color of clothing you chose to put on your child. Keep up the great work!!

  • At 9:21 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

I have a son and I would have never put him in pink especially since it is very girly. However, unless Kim is going to be one of those moms who drag out the baby pictures when future g/f's come over then Eli will not remember this. Unless of course it's constantly being brought up everyday like it is now. Let it go.

  • At 9:22 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

That's actually a boy, lol. You can tell by the first pic he doesn't like it.

  • At 9:51 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

The look on Eli's face in the first pic says it all. He knows its pink and girly. Try dressing in layers next time. It worked fine for my 10 month old BOY (dressed in a BLUE coat)!

  • At 10:01 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

I want to know if that was kims snow suit when she was a wee one.he will hate pink or love it one //// just like you hate CLOWNS PLEASE try blue next snow.

  • At 10:04 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Good God!!! Let it go already. Our country is so fixated on external that one forgets the most important thing: this child is LOVED, LOVED, LOVED by his mom and dad. That's what he knows at this stage. There are some kids (boys) in other parts of the world who wear pink because that's all they have. Get a grip, educate yourselves and quit criticizing. The complex would come from that criticizing, not from the pink snowsuit.

  • At 10:23 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Kim, I have 3 girls an 8 year old and twin 2 year olds and I let them wear just about anything I can get them to wear... As long as you show your children unconditional love and bundle them from the cold who cares what it looks like... If it bothers you, then you might try dying it another color... I think you're a great mom...

  • At 12:06 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

I THINK IF ITS WARM HE AINT GOING TO CARE IF IT PINK OR NOT ... HE IS HAVING FUN IN THE SNOW ... SO DONT LISTEN TO WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK OR SAY.... I THINK HE IS CUTE

  • At 12:41 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Well of course it's cute but, the real question here is: Kim, why exactly do you have a PINK snowsuit? Was it passed down or did you actually go out and but it?

  • At 1:08 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Eli is gorgeous! All the guys are just jealous because they couldn't pull pink off like this! :) My son is in 5th grade and THE color this year for boys in his age group is yes - PINK. The pictures show Eli had a great time in the snow which is all that counts.

For those of you who said Real Men dont wear pink let me tell you they do. Believe me I am married to a Real Man and he wears Pink. And Kim he is so precious what is the BIG deal that he was in a pink snow suite. You had it there and he didnt have anything to wear why not put it on him. He is not going to grow up Gay. I wear Blue does that mean I am Gay NO! Keep up the good work with your precious baby boy. I love you all!

That is horrible. I hope that when Eli grows up he doesn't have to go to therapy for this.

  • At 4:10 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Bless his heart!! Over the past few months, he has been photographed as a pumpkin with two red chili peppers, hysterical with Santa, and now this! He is adorable, but one day when he is in high school, is voted best dressed, and this pic surfaces -- oh my, he may be after his mom with the houseshoe!!

I listened this morning and waited all day to get home to see this "PINK SNOWSUIT" He is so cute!

  • At 11:54 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

I must admit it is a girly suit...but at least he had fun in his first snow and that's what counts!

  • At 7:27 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Oh my gosh! Look at the pout on that kid, he knows your humuliating him! Please go buy him another snowsuit more suitable for a boy.

  • At 9:03 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Kim, I feel your pain with the pink snow suit. As a mother of 2 boys (Eli, 2 and Gabe, 3) it is hard to find clothes for young boys, especially snow suits. Besides pink is not such a bad color for boys, my oldest son just got a pink polo shirt and he loves it. A lot of guys wear pink these days, so what's the big deal?

  • At 5:38 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

all i can say is poor kid.

  • At 8:00 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

i have already wrote in once i am the one who is in 4th grade and this morning i asked them if they picked out there own clothes and they said yes so until eli is about 8 you need to pick out his clothes and that outfit is so cute anyway

  • At 1:26 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

  • At 7:34 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

kim honey i have a son and althpugh he is the most beautiful thing i have ever seen that still doesnt mean i wanna make him look more like a girl. When his hair gets long he has curls and starts to look like a girl, course hes jus that cute, lol. course i am not eli's mother so its ur call.

  • At 8:30 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Ohhhhhh, he's just a baby!!! I don't think he'll be scarred for life.

  • At 3:14 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Pink or blue, he's such a cutie, Kim!

  • At 9:24 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

no matter what anyone says, at least she put him in something. She cares for her child, unlike some parents who could care less.

  • At 8:07 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

well i think u haved embaressed that little boy enough by puttimg him in that butt ass ugly outfitt and if he was a girl i would say the same thing but other than that he is adorable

  • At 8:02 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Kim, you did what you had to do! You did the right thing. As a mother you didn't want your kid to be cold, but you still wanted him to have fun...You did the right thing. Tell Marc to hush!

  • At 8:04 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Many men are starting to wear pink. Pink ties, pink shirts, pink sweaters, pink is in this season...and so is Eli! Way to go Kim! You did what you had to do, to keep him warm and dry! Your a great mother! Keep it up

  • At 1:21 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Sorry Kim...it's a girl's snowsuit. There's no way around it.

  • At 4:52 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

    this outfit sucks!

  • At 12:09 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

I just don't see what the big deal is. The boy wanted to go outside and play. Kim put something on him to keep him warm. She did the best that she could. Woo Hoo it was pink. Let's just call the firing squad for Kim trying to keep her boy warm. Grow up people. Obviously some of these posts have come from people that are either not parents, or people that are parents but are so spoiled that they don't know what it's like to have to work with what you've got.

  • At 1:11 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

I think those are the most adorable pictures!! You have a very handsome son! He looks like he was having a wonderful time. Who cares if the snowsuit is pink, does it really matter? Did it take away from his fun? No! I have 3 girls and 1 boy. My girls wear blue, my boy wears pink, my girls play with cars and trucks, my boy plays with dolls. Keep up the good work Kim, Eli looks like a happy healthy little boy! And I'll sign my name....
