This Could Be Bad For Britney...
TMZ is reporting the L.A. County Sheriff's Department has been alerted to these pictures via the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), and there is no word yet in whether the matter is under investigation. The company responsible for photographers who snapped these photos has issued the following statement:
These pictures were taken in a very peaceful context, in which photographers exhibited no aggressive behavior. We believe the pictures speak for themselves."
Update: TMZ now says, "Deputy Mark Winn, from the LA County Sheriff's Dept., is on his way back (1:30 PM Pacific Time) from Britney Spears' home. We're told the deputy went to the singer's home to ask questions about Britney driving with her baby on her lap without proper child restraint."

She is totally crazy. What if she had a little fender bender and the air bag had deployed? The baby would probably be dead or injured very bad. Why didn't she hand the baby to the man riding with her if she couldn't put him in his car seat? There is no excuse for not putting your child in a child restraint. I hope it is 'bad for Britney' as your heading stated. Celebrities should not be above the law.....

The world is really messed up... you have to attend school and have some kind of training or experience for almost everything in life... including driving. I can't understand why anyone can be a parent without education, training, a degree or any requirements... there should be some kind of training/education required for all parents. Being a parent is the most difficult, yet most rewarding thing in the world. So why can anyone be a parent without any prior training/education? The world is messed up!!! We all knew Britney's elevator didn't quite go all the way to the top floor (so to speak), but come on... putting her baby's life in danger is too far for even Britney. She should go to jail for child endangerment... I agree celebrities shouldn't be above the law.

She claims she did this to protect herself and her child from possible harm or getting attacked my the paparazzi. Duhhh!! How about protecting your child from cars driving 60mph head on with only a few feet of separation. It seems to me like one could be annoying and the other could be deadly.
