I think it is the green at the top that makes it look like a pepper. It is a bit too leafy. Plus Eli's pumpkin is so much lighter.

Yes, they look like peppers. The shading at the bottom gives the illusion that the costumes are curved at the bottom as is a pepper. Sorry, Kim, but what a CUTE kid!! :)

When you stare a while it looks like pumpkins and looks like Eli is standing up doing the splits, but a a first glimpse, it looks like peppers. Eli's costume gives it away though---since he's a pumpkin, must be pumpkins!!

The picture that was actually on the card is misleading - they don't look like peppers in the original shot, but I can see how you might think that. I do think, however, that once you see Eli is a pumpkin, how could you think the parents are peppers?

Hey, the reason they resemble peppers most is the collar. That green frilly crap isn't typical of a pumpkin so it's a bit out of place but that type of cap is typical of peppers or tomatoes. Had the top been different I doubt we'd be in this situation. So peppers it is.

Okay come on obviously they are pumpkins! Yes the shading does make it look a little like the shape of a pepper, but that wouldn't make sense. It is okay Kim I am always on your side.

Pumpkins, pumkins, pumkins!!! Thats what I see. I can tell how they would think they were chilli peppers but only because that has now been put in our minds. If the card was just sent to me, I would think "Pumkins" and nothing else. What an adorable son! Good job!!

Ralph looks more pepperish than Kim, but she looks like one too. I guess it's the how the picture cuts off Ralph, but it gives him a pepper shape. He's like, a pepper with a head

And now that I look at Kim more, she's more shaped like a strawberry, especially with the green on top... And cute little Eli has this look on his face that says, "I've got 18 more years of this and geeky parents in store for me." but he's trying to look happy about it. The picture is totally rad though.

And seeing that I have absolutely nothing to do except for look at this picture even though it's half a month after Halloween, Ralph and Kim look like those needle cusions that you stick sewing needles into.
